As a team of specialists, we operate on shared values of integrity, trust, and collaboration, always striving for collective success. We’re looking for a General Manager (GM) to lead and align our diverse teams, helping us achieve sustainable growth and operational excellence.
The Role
The General Manager acts as the glue of our organization, bringing together teams from multiple departments to operate collectively at their best. You will oversee business strategy, operations, and workflow architecture, ensuring Fiasco Cases and WFHD thrive in both domestic and international markets.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strategic thinking, operational expertise, and a passion for fostering collaboration. The role is based in Cambridge, NZ, with travel to the USA and China required for 4–8 weeks per year (in two-week blocks).
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the development and implementation of business strategies for growth and profitability.
2. Facilitate discussions on evaluating growth opportunities while mitigating risks.
3. Foster a professional team environment rooted in shared values.
4. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring processes are optimized and aligned with best practices.
5. Maintain Fiasco’s reputation for quality and excellence in product design, manufacture, and customer service.
6. Support foreign manufacturing operations and oversee WFH customer service operations.
7. Take ownership of Asana as the central hub for internal communications and workflow management.
8. Maximize team performance using software platforms like Unleashed, Xero, Shopify, and Google Workspaces.
9. Lead cross-departmental collaboration to ensure effective sales and operational planning.
10. Chair monthly S&OP meetings and oversee forecasting systems to inform manufacturing and sales.
11. Lead recruitment, onboarding, leave management, and general employee relations.
12. Manage administrative accounts, insurance, claims, and visas.
13. Ensure compliance with legal regulations, IP protection, and safety standards.
