We are excited to have a vacancy for a SEN KS2 Teacher to join our team at a fantastic, inclusive SEN school in Swindon. Our school educates students with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD and other additional needs, so we are looking for a SEN KS2 Teacher that has an understanding of special educational needs. Our school is committed to helping students re-engage with their education and re-ignite their excitement and motivation for learning! We want to welcome a dedicated SEN KS2 Teacher to support students as soon as possible!
The school has set their sights on welcoming a new teacher, with the aim of providing children with high standards of education and personalised support, tailored to their needs. As a SEN KS2 Teacher, the role involves planning and delivering a varying curriculum to children with additional needs related to speech, communication, cognitive skills, and sensory/physical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting a class of 4-5 students
* Planning, leading, and teaching classroom activities
* Monitoring and recording progress both academically and against EHCP's
* Working closely to keep students engaged, motivated, and inspired by linking their personal interests to the curriculum
* Collaborating with Teaching Assistants to effectively support pupils
We are looking for a Qualified Teacher who is compassionate, resilient, and committed to helping pupils reach their potential. Communication skills are key; both verbal and written communication will be a big part of your role.
