Pentagon Talent are proud to partnering with a top 50 Accountancy practice based in the heart of Central London who are currently seeking an Accounts Senior to join their team. This well-established firm has a strong name in the market and has an enviable client list.
Responsibilities:
1. As a Senior Associate, you'll work in a combined office-based and client-facing role.
2. You'll be part of small teams supervised by a manager and partner.
3. Your work will involve both year-end accounts (50%) and management accounts (50%).
4. Additionally, you'll prepare draft tax computations (with the final tax submission handled by the dedicated Tax department).
5. You'll work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including privately owned limited companies, LLPs, partnerships, and sole traders.
Tasks:
6. Communicate and update colleagues about work levels, client types, and matter values.
7. Develop and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge.
8. Negotiate solutions for clients' issues.
9. Plan, manage, and progress legal cases and transactions.
10. Draft and review legal documents.
11. Understand clients' commercial and personal circumstances.
12. Provide effective spoken and written advocacy.
13. Keep colleagues informed of progress and any risks.
Client Care:
14. Maintain excellent client care by understanding their needs and tailoring advice accordingly.
15. Liaise with client care regarding complaints when necessary.
Skills
Essential
16. Fully qualified ACA or ACCA.
17. Able to demonstrate wide experience and competency in full accounts production from basic prime books and records through to computerised accounting packages.
18. Ability to multi-task and work to budgets.
19. Fully conversant with Sage and QuickBooks software.
20. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
21. Good English, both written and verbal.
22. Good time management with ability to meet tight deadlines.
23. Flexible attitude, with ability to priorities workloads.
Desirable
24. Knowledge of Pro-Audit, CCH and Microsoft Office Products, in particular Excel software.
