Early Years Practitioner
Band D £24790-25183 Per Annum, Full Time Equivalent
Post: Full Year (not term time only) 37 hours, 4 days per week (between 7.45am until 5.45pm)
Temporary post for maternity cover to start April 2025 to March 2026, initially
Applications are invited for the above temporary post. The successful candidate will be expected to work during the normal school holidays enabling the Centre to open all year round.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner who will be a dedicated team member in ensuring high quality practice and provision is maintained at all times. This post is to work in our Young Children’s Base 3-3 Years provision at Aughton Early Years Centre. We provide an integrated service delivery for children and families and the successful applicant will be expected to work in a holistic way with very young children.
The Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the successful candidates will have to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Check (formerly a CRB).
Applicants must have the following:
• Level 3/License to Practice in Early Years Childcare and Education (Unqualified applicants with experience, or Level 2 qualifications will be considered where the pay scale would then be adjusted accordingly)
• The capability to demonstrate positive, high quality interactions with very young children
• To have a warm, nurturing and empathetic nature
• A sound knowledge, understanding and experience of the EYFS and how this links to subsequent phases of learning and development
• A flexible and willing approach to be fully involved in all Centre aims and objectives
• The ability to build and maintain positive, effective relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Excellent communication skills and have the desire to work as a proactive member of a complex team.
