St Mary s CE Primary Wright Street Platt Bridge Wigan WN2 3NX 26 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year (Working four days per week) Salary: Grade 3, 14,118 - 14,566 per annum. 12.45 - 12.85 per hour Temporary dependant on SEN funding St Mary s CE Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative, motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team. We are looking for someone to support a child with ASD in Key Stage 2. The job will involve working with other class staff to provide a high quality, bespoke learning experience both in the classroom alongside the rest of the class as well as some 1 to 1 intervention sessions. This job will involve some personal care. Teaching Assistants at St Mary s also provide lunchtime cover on a rota basis. You must enjoy working as part of a team and have a great sense of humour. You must be determined to help our children progress and have the initiative needed to personalise support. You will have excellent behaviour management and a nurturing approach. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference and work with a strong team. Previous experience of working with primary aged children with ASD is desirable. Your literacy and numeracy skills must be of a high standard with a good understanding of the national curriculum in both subjects. Training and support will be provided as required.
