ESI Digital Marketing Manager, Mid-Market & Enterprise - Paid Media
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Digital Marketing Manager will join the ESI Digital Demand team to build and own the digital go-to-market strategy and manage paid media performance for our mid-market and enterprise segments. Working with strategic agency partners, you will take ownership of driving visibility and conversion of key channels including, but not limited to: SEM/PPC, Digital Display/Programmatic, Content Syndication, Paid Social, and Affiliate management.
You’ll be joining a high-performing team of digital experts that have consistently driven year-on-year growth and will be a fundamental player in the ambitious growth plans for a global organization.
This role reports to the Director Digital Demand but will work very closely with the wider digital team, in particular the Growth and Field leaders for our core markets and sectors, SEO manager, product marketing team, performance media agency partners, and the wider content and copywriting teams.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Build a digital strategy that delivers on our lead generation targets across our global markets and builds long-term, sustainable demand generation.
2. Management of the performance media budget to effectively balance ROI across a blend of appropriate and effective channels.
3. Take a test-and-learn approach to paid media management across channels, campaigns, content, and destinations.
4. Monitor and report on the performance of key channels at a platform level as well as performance through the marketing funnel.
5. Adopt a holistic approach to paid media management to maximize impact and increase share of voice in the market.
6. Manage performance media agencies.
7. Leverage performance media channels to deliver integrated and connected marketing programs.
8. Work with the web team, content teams, local marketers, and agencies to develop and optimize effective ads, copy, and landing page experiences that drive conversion.
9. Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations in partnership with internal stakeholders.
10. Utilize digital analytics and reporting platforms to measure success and share performance.
11. Identify, set up, and work with agency partners to launch into new channels and countries where necessary.
EXPERIENCE:
1. 5+ years’ experience building digital strategies and managing paid media activation, including (but not limited to) SEM/PPC, Paid Social, etc.
2. International business experience and campaign activation is a big advantage.
3. Deep understanding of performance marketing channel selection and activation.
4. Track record of using paid media to drive improvements in lead conversion and sales opportunities.
5. Demonstrable experience managing performance media agencies to time, outcome, and budget.
6. Experience in tracking ROI and performance of marketing activity through the sales process.
7. Experience with cost per lead initiatives/affiliate programs and connecting lead gen activity to broader marketing activation and sales follow-up.
8. Strong analytical skills, with a focus on numbers and detail.
9. Experience managing and optimizing paid media activation across geographies and languages.
10. Inquisitive mindset with a focus on delivering the best possible outcomes.
11. Working knowledge of using Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and the Google ecosystem of reporting platforms (Analytics, Looker, etc.).
12. Experience running tests and experiments for maximum reportable effect.
13. Knowledge of digital marketing attribution and testing frameworks.
14. Experience with Salesforce reporting is advantageous.
15. Knowledge or experience working as part of agile teams or running agile projects is a plus but not required.
16. Accuracy and attention to detail.
17. Proven track record of managing multiple projects on tight deadlines and driving meaningful results.
18. Exposure to working in large, global organizations is beneficial.
19. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate and influence senior stakeholders inside and outside of the company.
20. Knowledge of the HCM/HR/Payroll market is advantageous but not required.
