You will work with an existing IT Infrastructure Engineer team that are responsible for all aspects of IT Infrastructure and ensure that it grows to meet the business targets. The role will work with the Head of IT, EUC Service Delivery Manager, Projects Manager, Solutions Architect to work on the delivery of new technology and ensure the smooth transition to BAU. You will be responsible for: Ensuring the successful delivery of IT infrastructure to support IT systems and services. Define, manage, and develop IT infrastructure in cloud and on prem to ensure security, quality, and SLA’s Ensuring that the core capability of the team meet and exceed user expectations. Responsible for working with the projects team, service desk to ensure the smooth transition of new technology to BAU KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing and maintaining an effective IT Infrastructure support function ensure all systems are delivered to a consistently high standard with robust controls in place Development and management of all delivery aspects relating to Infrastructure Support Management and development of Team members’ performance and activity Ensuring the team maintains a high level of expertise in all relevant areas of technology Providing IT infrastructure support and escalation from service desk relating to IT Infrastructure Support and aid the management of the transition of technical project to BAU Infrastructure support Ownership of issues relating to IT Infrastructure support Ensure that IT infrastructure is managed and maintained to meet ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation and maintaining a regular penetration testing schedule Work within the ITIL framework INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Head of IT and other stakeholders to fulfil IT strategy Create processes to maintain high-quality IT Infrastructure services consistently. Manage and develop team members ensuring both organisational and personal objectives are met Manage staff levels to ensure IT Infrastructure can meet business demands Define, maintain and monitor documentation, delivery standards and working practices across the team Ensure requests are properly managed and delivered in line with SLA's Work with the DevOps team to ensure that Infrastructure standards around, resilience, security, backup and DR are maintained to the highest standards QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Educational Qualifications: Degree qualified in relevant subject Desirable Professional Qualifications Experience of managing and developing an Infrastructure Team Experience and core understanding of technologies such as Azure IaaS, Intra ID, Office 365 technologies, Exchange Online, DPL, Active Directory, SQL and CISCO networking. Experience of managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including patch management, backup, software deployment, server builds, networking, etc Experience of developing and working to repeatable processes to ensure consistent quality of delivery Experience of managing and developing others Work within ITIL framework Years of Experience Hold a similar role or you may be a senior IT Infrastructure Engineer in a larger team who would like to take on more responsibility.
