1. To type DEXA clinic reports and correspondence of varied medical terminology, accurately through audio typing distributing as necessary to the relevant healthcare professions. This work involves a significant use of word processing and the Trusts computer systems, SF4, PAS, EPR and Word Microsoft Office and digital dictation system. 2. Process incoming mail and distribute as necessary on a daily basis. 3. To scan documents into the correct section of the patients EPR record, performing a quality assurance check for each scanned document. 4. To regularly check Big Hand for urgent dictation. Also checking for missing dictations and alerting the Medical Secretary. 5. Ensure all clinical letters are completed and dispatched, where possible, within the 10 day standard as directed by the Trust liaising with medical staff to encourage dictation and signing of letters in a timely fashion. 6. Complete Inter Provider Transfer forms accurately to effectively coordinate patients pathway with other hospitals. 7. Requesting external case notes and x-rays via IEP. 8. The use of photocopying handling skills and fax machine skills to reproduce or fax documents as required. 9. Ensure that all entries and information on the hospital computer systems such as PAS and EPR are accurate and complete. 10. To liaise with the Medical Secretary and when directed to answer incoming telephone calls as well as carrying out external telephone calls. 11. The ability to deal with frequent interruptions whilst maintaining levels of concentration. 12. To complete e-learning statutory and mandatory training as requested by the Trust. 13. Ensure that Health & Safety issues are brought to the attention of the Patient Access Manager or HCR Team Leader. 14. Achieve departmental objectives following Trust policies, Government guidelines and protocols. 15. To adhere to the Data Protection Act at all times.
