About the Role
Applications are invited for the post of Education Administrator within the Blizard Institute. The purpose of this role is to provide professional administrative support to education programmes delivered within the Institute.
About You
The post holder will support the expansion of various programmes, work within established guidelines to ensure an efficient delivery of service and provide a positive contribution to the postgraduate (taught) and undergraduate student experience. They will assist in a variety of operational tasks linked to education, as required, including responding to student and staff emails and gathering data for report generation, processing online updates for the e-learning environments, setting up teaching delivery and processing financial transactions.
This role will focus on day-to-day programme delivery, including liaising with faculty, teaching planning, student communications, assessment processing and budget management. The post holder will assist in maintaining accurate student records, timetabling, and responding to queries in a timely and efficient manner. There will also be a need, on occasion, to assist in the delivery of onsite programme events such as recruitment fairs, summer schools and hospitality functions.
About the Faculty/Institute
The Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is one of the largest of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at Queen Mary University of London. The Institute comprises approximately 400 staff based in four academic Centres and one Public Engagement Centre and supports a combined total of c750 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching, and clinical service.
