The role
As the Group Charity Coordinator, you will support the coordination of activities for the MAG Charity Committee. This role involves assisting with the planning, organisation, reporting and execution of committee initiatives and events across the MAG Group, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the committee and external stakeholders to deliver a high-quality service. You will manage the scheduling and organising of committee meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and distributing relevant documents, whilst maintaining accurate records of committee activities, including event plans and financial budget trackers. You will be the main point of contact for MAG’s Charity Partners, sponsors and corporate contacts, taking the lead in delivering fund raising in line with agreed targets and holding committee members to account on targets. Other accountabilities include:
* Coordinate and manage the logistics for Executive and Group Charity committee events and activities, including venue booking, catering, and equipment setup.
* Drive the successful delivery of the MAG Ball and MAG Golf Day. Lead planning and on the day running order for these two primary events ensuring effective stakeholder management for all involved.
* With Charity Committee members, brief and manage the preparation and distribution of promotional materials and communications related to committee activities, working with Charity creative partner.
* Monitor and coordinate the local Charity committee fundraising trackers to ensure accurate and timely reporting back to Group Charity Committee.
* Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the committee's operations providing excellent customer service at every stage.
* Make enquiries with external companies, obtaining quotes and following up on these.
What will make you successful in the role?
The ideal candidate will have great people skills, a creative mindset, and a passion for fundraising. You will engage with stakeholders, both internal and external, in a fast-paced, team-driven environment—bringing innovative ideas and enthusiasm whether working independently or with others. You will be able to organise your workload effectively, proactively resolve issues, and escalate matters to the Charity Committee when necessary. Proven experience in a coordination role, including demonstrable event management experience, is essential. Lastly, strong organisational and time management skills are required, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
