An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our Hemel Hempstead depot as a Stores Person / Administrator reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. What does the role of the Stores Person / Administrator involve? To support the Engineering function of a busy bus depot by providing an effective stores department backed up with streamlined administration. Responsibility for daily duties including the effective monitoring of stock usage, reordering and processing deliveries. Ensuring that workshop requirements are met by ensuring back-office systems are compliant with the needs of the garage. Some elements of processing weekly wage payments to Engineering staff by using a modern electronic system may be fundamental to the role where appropriate. Requirements of the Stores Person / Administrator: Previous experience within a Storekeeper/depot admin role is preferred. Valid Forklift licence is preferred, or a willingness to obtain one if required. Effective written and verbal communications, as well as proficient IT Skills. Influencing skills. Well-developed organisational and decision-making skills. Knowledge of PCV/HGV industry. Works well as part of a team.
