We design, build, and operate facilities that produce biogas and specify, install, and maintain solar PV for commercial, agricultural, and domestic clients. About the Role
We are seeking experienced Solar PV installers who wish to further improve their career and join an expanding team.
Key Tasks
1. Managing/leading a team of Solar Installers and laborers; size of team will be dependent on size of project.
2. Ensure the allocated resources are utilized to the maximum effect and installations are completed in line with agreed deadlines.
3. Maintain the installation to the highest standard.
4. Setting out and installing Solar PV panels on a range of roof types: Slate, Concrete Tile, Tin Sheet (both domestic and commercial).
5. Installation of in-roof systems including flashings and dry ridge systems.
6. Assembly of ballasted systems.
7. Assembly of ground mount systems.
8. DC wiring and termination of MC4 connections, including testing and recording string voltage and current and Riso.
9. Ensure installation is completed in accordance with Installation Pack wherever possible.
10. Updating installation packs to reflect any changes to design due to site conditions.
11. Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and other team members to ensure timely completion of installations.
12. Troubleshoot and resolve issues or complications that arise during installation.
13. Ensure Chiltern Solar installations are run safely and in accordance with the Risk Assessment and Method Statement.
14. Act as site point of contact for customer.
Minimum Requirements
1. At least 4 years of experience in the industry.
2. Previous experience in leading teams.
3. BPEC qualification or equivalent in installation of Solar PV.
4. CSCS card.
5. Eligible to work in the UK (we are not able to provide visa sponsorship) and hold a valid full UK driving licence, with no more than 6 penalty points.
What We Offer:
Salary: £13.46 – £15.38 per hour depending on experience. Equivalent salary £28,000 – £32,000 per annum. Overtime available on an ad hoc basis.

Sick pay, after qualifying period.
Uniform and PPE will be provided for the successful applicant.
