Job Requisition Number 7009 Work Type Permanent Job Function Engineer Salary Range £32,236.00 -£38,070.00 Company van Base Carmarthen or Clyndach area As part of our team you will Work with colleagues in the Wastewater Assets team to identify asset and operational issues that could lead to service failure. Interfacing with all stakeholders to ensure the wastewater network business understand all potential issues and opportunities. Co-ordinate investigations into known sewerage network issues, identifying the root causes of asset failures leading to flooding, pollution and identify operational cost reduction opportunities. Manage the Investment manager base (IM) for Southwest BGA waste, liaising with Operational teams to ensure that a consistent risk scoring methodology is in place, evidence backed, and the investment need is highlighted. Identify best practice from across the business and assess opportunities for innovation. As An Asset Network Technician You Will Co-ordinate the network asset risk prioritisation, identifying sewerage network issues and the consequence of service failure. Work closely with the asset engineers and operational teams to ensure that investigations and minor works are delivered efficiently. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of delivered solutions and mitigation. Manage contractor’s performance while ensuring excellent health and safety performance during sewer rehabilitation interventions. Identify any areas for future efficiency savings. Manage the Cyclic cleaning FLCM maintenance programme. Undertake resilience surveys and complete sewer resilience reports. What you’ll be responsible for Provide information on asset failures for the risk prioritisation programme including review of CCTV reports, collation of failure history and data held on central registers. Ensure that all asset investigations are planned and completed in line with all Health and Safety policies and procedures. Ensure that all asset investigations are carried out using a consistent approach capturing all relevant data from desktop study and site visits. Produce sewer network plans and other pertinent information for the completion of asset investigations keeping the customer informed. Develop scope of rehabilitation works and manage the intervention on the network. Ensure that Investment Manager is maintained and updated through solution development and implementation. Contribute to post project reviews, promote best practice, innovation and refine processes accordingly. About You Knowledge, Skills & Experience: A proven technician with wastewater operational experience and able to demonstrate a track record of sector leading performance Experience gained through thorough understanding of waste water service delivery, management of contractors and coordination An ability to think strategically but also able to ensure effective day to day delivery of services Ability to travel as job requires The ability to develop positive working relationships and to be seen as a highly credible representative of the business is required for this role Computer literate with experience & knowledge of EXCEL, SAP, Investment Manager and report writing ONC in civil Engineering or similar qualification Good to know The successful candidate will be working in and around areas such as Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Bridgend, Vale of Glamorgan and Lampeter for example so travel is required.
