In this role, you will provide essential care, guidance, and support to children within a nurturing home environment, helping them develop life skills, build confidence, and thrive. Key Responsibilities: Work with the management team to ensure the home operates in compliance with regulatory standards. Safeguard and promote the well-being of children, protecting them from harm and exploitation. Establish meaningful relationships, acting as a positive role model, and assisting in the personal development of children. Maintain accurate records and contribute to planning and reviews for each childs care. Provide flexible support on a shift rota, including sleep-in duties and occasional overnight cover. What We're Looking For: Essential: Commitment to achieving a Diploma Level 3/4 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People Pathway). Understanding of child development and childrens physical and emotional needs. Compassionate, with strong interpersonal skills and a caring nature. Flexibility and a commitment to working as part of a supportive team. Desirable: Experience working with children and young people in residential care settings. Knowledge of safeguarding policies and childrens home regulations. Creativity and the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively. Additional Requirements: Full driving licence. Flexibility to cover shifts in other homes operated by the company when required. Schedule : Full-time, 40 hours per week plus sleep-in duties.
