We’re looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join a well-established HVAC company known for designing, fabricating, and installing high-quality HVAC systems. Our projects span key sectors such as Energy, Defence, Transport, and more.
Location:
Based at our client’s workshop in Bury, Manchester, you’ll be inspecting structural welds, particularly focusing on ductwork and fire-rated systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct inspections and tests during manufacturing, using techniques such as visual inspections, dye penetrant, and magnetic particle inspections.
* Interpret and evaluate results according to industry standards.
* Prepare detailed inspection reports and collaborate with the manufacturing team to uphold top-tier quality.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Support inspections alongside clients and third-party representatives, both on and off-site.
What You’ll Bring:
* Strong knowledge of fabrication and welding of structures and pipework (mainly ductwork)
* Familiarity with industry standards such as BS EN, ISO, DW 144, etc.
* PCN Level 2 OR CSWIP 3.1 certification (mandatory).
* PCN level 2 in Dye pen OR magnetic Particles (mandatory)
* The ability to read engineering drawings and follow organizational procedures.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, along with computer proficiency.
* Experience in NDT methods and other quality control techniques.
