Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of one of our prestigious clients, based in Andover.
The ideal candidate will ensure that our client’s buildings and their services meet the needs of the people that work in them. This role involves managing a range of responsibilities from maintenance and security to space management and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure they are in good working order.
2. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that the facility complies with all health and safety regulations and standards.
3. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and other services.
4. Finance and Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for facility operations and maintenance.
5. Space Management: Plan and manage the allocation and use of space within the facility.
6. Sustainability Initiatives: Implement and promote sustainable practices within the facility.
7. Routine Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.
8. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans.
9. Project Management: Oversee renovation and refurbishment projects, through support of CAPEX and Client CAPEX Manager.
10. Energy Management: Monitor and optimise energy usage to reduce costs and environmental impact.
11. Security Management: Ensure the security of the facility and its occupants.
12. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance. Use of CAFM system required.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1. Degree or similar in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or in a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
4. Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Proficiency in facilities management software.
Preferred Skills:
1. Experience with sustainability and energy management practices.
2. Knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
Working Conditions:
1. Full-time position with occasional on-call duties.
2. May require occasional travel between facilities.
