The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join an award-winning Engineering consultancy based in Cambridge or Bristol.
Job Overview:
You'll collaborate with the industry's best, working with a wide range of built-environment specialists. Responsibilities:
1. Working on a varied portfolio of projects both in the UK and Internationally.
2. Providing technical advice to clients on the operation of electrical/mechanical engineering services in existing buildings.
3. Preparing Fee Proposals.
4. Delivering refurbishment and upgrade projects from inception to completion.
5. Leading electrical services design on large projects, and leading overall MEP on small to medium-sized projects within the office.
6. Successfully dealing with Clients and other professionals.
What do you need to succeed?
1. Excellent technical knowledge in Electrical Design Engineering.
2. Thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering.
3. Good experience in the use of standards and codes applied in building services.
4. Knowledge of Wiring Regulations; Fire Detection Systems; General and Emergency Lighting design.
5. Previous consultancy experience: appreciation of complementary specialisms such as acoustics, fire engineering, and computer modelling in the design of buildings.
