Van Driver - Dartford (Click and collect)
Position Type: FT/PT/Weekends
Working Hours: 12:00-20:00
Pay: Mon-Fri £11.66, Sat-Sun £12.56
Due to a large expansion, our client is recruiting Van Drivers for their new impressive Depot in Dartford delivering Click and collect orders. This involves picking up stock from the depot and delivering it to 2 locations during your 8-hour shift, where you will wait in allocated locations for customers to pick up their orders.
This role is with a well-known blue-chip company delivering flat-pack furniture and household items, so all drivers must be presentable and professional at all times.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure the customer can pick up their delivery within the allotted time window.
* Ensure delivery is correct.
* Provide excellent customer service.
* Be polite and courteous at all times to customers and road users.
* Actively encourage customers to give positive feedback via Happy Customer score.
* Complete legal daily vehicle checks prior to driving, ensuring the vehicle does not have any PG9 defects.
* Drive safely, responsibly, and within the law.
* Ensure your allocated vehicle is clean.
* Maintain communication with customers, providing updates on time windows and potential delays.
* Practice correct manual handling of all packages.
* Maintain excellent health & safety practices.
