Blueleaf are currently looking to recruit some permanent, full time and committed warehouse operatives to join our enthusiastic operations team at our distribution centre located in Crawley, West Sussex. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail to ensure the efficient picking, labelling, packing and dispatch of customer orders enabling us to meet our customer demands on time and in full. This is a permanent full time role, working 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Our normal operational hours are from 5am to midnight, however the typical working hours for this role will be from 1pm to 10pm. Immediate start available. Your day to day responsibilities: Live and promote Blueleaf's Culture and Values Skilled functional role to cover all working elements of the depot from Goods in / Picking / Packing / MHE driving & tipping plus loading of vehicles. Ensure all customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched to the required standard with appropriate paperwork completed. Ensure all customer orders are despatched / shipped via appropriate carriers to ensure timely delivery.Liaison with the Customer Service team to ensure that relevant, and timely information is provided relating to any issue with customer consignments. Ensure the checking of returns from company vehicles. Produce delivery schedule for direct dispatch operations. Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of products and goods are carried out in accordance with manual handling. Operate in a safe manner complying with all health and safety and environmental regulations to ensure safety of own and others wearing the safety equipment provided by the company. Ensure correct handling of any hazardous goods in line with product description and regulations. Keep a clean and safe working environment to ensure operational efficiency. Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value. Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Occasionally there may be the need to work from other warehouses within the company due to business need and customer demand, appropriate notice will be given. Provide multi-functional support in all areas of the business to support with volume and absence including holiday cover. Liaise with Customer Service and Procurement on any delivery issues/supply returns. Investigate any missing items. Ensure correct handling of any hazardous goods in line with product description and regulations. Replenishment of Pick Face items on a daily basis. Carry out stock counts as requested by Shift Supervisor. Skills & Experience Proven work experience within a warehouse environment lifting heavy goods Teamwork skills and willing to participate as a full member of the team Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Knowledge in health and safety, manual handling and hazardous substances Ideally previous experience in the use of counterbalance and high reach forklift trucks, and powered pallet truck equipment, and holding a forklift truck licence Ideally a full driving licence, as this role could involve moving delivery vans What will we offer? We will offer a salary of up to £30,420.00 per annum if you hold an appropriate forklift licence, with paid breaks, and 33 days holiday including bank and public holidays.
