This role is for qualified Bus & Coach Drivers looking for a temporary, seasonal role to cover our busy summer season. Ideally, this would be from mid-March to the end of September but dates can be discussed and amended to suit. For the right candidate, there may be a possibility of permanent employment at the end of your contract*.
Accommodation is available with this role on a tied basis in a shared property in Shetland's North Mainland. The accommodation is free for the duration of the seasonal contract with all utility bills, council tax and internet included.

We're looking for a Bus and Coach Driver to join our friendly team in Shetland. You'll be driving a well-maintained fleet on our home-to-school transport routes, local bus services and cruise ship shuttles with the opportunity to undertake private-hire and tour work should you wish. We're working hard to expand the coaching side of our business with our own holidays to the UK mainland due to launch soon.
You'll mainly be working from our Sella Ness depot in Shetland's North Mainland but will also be required to provide cover for our Lerwick depot as-and-when needed. Our bus services operate every day of the week, with the earliest sign on at 06:15 and latest finish at 00:45 (earlier starts & later finishes will be required for ad-hoc private hires).
You'll require:
Cat. D License
Valid Driver CPC
Hold or be able to obtain a PVG (equivalent to DBS)
Right to work in the UK

Rates of pay:
£13 per hour for service & school work
£15 per hour evening rate for any service work undertaken between 1930 & the close of service
£15 per hour for coach work
£17 per hour flat rate for any work on Sundays
*In the event of an employee being offered and accepting a permanent contract upon the end of the seasonal contract, accommodation shall become chargeable.
