The ideal candidate will be an exceptional journalist, with fluency and interest in a wide range of cultural, social and political topics, as well as deep knowledge of business and finance. Comfort in a collaborative and continually evolving digital news environment is a must. We’ll trust you to: Report and write original, insightful profiles, essays, features and other pieces for our weekend ideas section Spot opportunities for great stories and ideas at the intersections of finance, business, culture, society and politics Pitch in to help produce a sharp, surprising and distinctive edition every weekend Collaborate with beat reporters and editors across our global newsroom to identify ideas, sources and profile subjects and ensure that stories reflect their expertise Integrate your work across Bloomberg media platforms, including audio, newsletters, TV and events You’ll need to have: At least 7 years of experience in journalism and a proven track record of insightful, compelling and well-written work, including deeply reported magazine-style features An extensive network of sources, and experience both securing and executing high-profile interviews Interest in and understanding of financial markets and how they interact with everything else Boundless curiosity and ideas Life at Bloomberg is many things, but it’s never dull.
