Marrons’ Leicester office is looking for a Senior Planner to join their team. Key Responsibilities
* Collaborating with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic planning policies and initiatives.
* Leading the development and implementation of planning strategies and policies to support sustainable growth and development across the UK.
* Managing planning applications, appeals, and consultations in accordance with relevant legislation and best practices.
* Conducting site searches and assessments, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to inform decision-making processes.
* Engaging with local communities, businesses, and government agencies to foster positive relationships and address planning-related issues.
* Providing expert advice and guidance on planning matters to clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
* Monitoring legislative changes, emerging trends, and best practices in urban planning to inform decision-making and strategy development.
You will need:
* previous experience in a Planning role (ideally from within local government, consultancy or development industry)
* a relevant Planning qualification (or working towards one)
* membership of RTPI or working towards membership
* an understanding of the planning process and systems
* excellent writing skills with a strong eye for detail and high level of accuracy
* excellent communication skills and a friendly approachable manner
* ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently
* drive, commitment, enthusiastic and a team player approach
