An engineering business is seeking a Service Technician to join the team in Sheffield Your Company: An excellent opportunity has become available within an engineering business for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join their team, operating in the Sheffield area. Your Roles and Responsibilities While in this role your duties may include but are not limited to: Attending clients' sites to perform preventative maintenance on installed equipment from the business Maintaining communications with customers and others as seen necessary in a professional manner, in both verbal and written forms Consulting with the technical or office-based personnel to achieve a clear understanding of specific job requirements Liaising with the business coordinators to ensure that all services under contract are completed within the correct timeframe Communicating with customers to ensure that work conducted is with their approval Requesting additional parts on time to enable a proper timely workflow, and minimise delays Informing the coordinators of any completed work or delay in works in a timely manner to enable the allocation of the next job avoiding any lost time What you will need to Apply: To be considered for this role you must have considerable previous experience working as a technician within a HVAC business, at least 5 years, and possess a good working knowledge surrounding the sector, which can be applied to this role. The hiring manager has stated that they are specifically looking for applicants with light commercial knowledge mainly from within the Retail sector and will therefore have exposure to handling more than 1 job in a shift. Experience in working on Air Handling Units and Packaged Rooftops is required, as well as the possession of a Gas Safe and Refcom accreditation. You will need to be a strong communicator both verbally and written, and be computer/systems literate, mainly within Microsoft Office. What you will get in Return: The business is looking to provide the right candidate with a starting salary, potentially in the region of £45,000, dependent on the level of previous experience and knowledge.
