As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our close-knit team at Brinksway School located in Stockport.
Job Purpose: To provide a high-quality education support service to Service Users in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body.
Key Task Areas and Responsibilities:
1. Support the class teacher/tutor in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality education for all students.
2. Ensure that all relevant education policies and procedures are implemented in full.
3. Provide relevant and appropriate support to students, on an individual or group basis, to enable them to access the curriculum as independently as possible.
4. Promote, in line with Company policies, the physical, educational, and moral development of the students.
5. Ensure that the available equipment and resources are used, stored, and maintained efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate staff.
6. Organise the classroom, its resources, student groupings, and displays to provide a stimulating learning situation appropriate for students with autistic spectrum disorder.
Essential: Experience working with pupils aged 4-19 (current classes are pupils aged 4-12).
About Us: Our new Options Autism School - Brinksway School in Stockport opened in September 2024 and has the capacity for 55 pupils. Brinksway School will be a Primary and Secondary Special Educational Needs School for pupils with Autism. For over 16 years, Options Autism has provided care and education to pupils, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.
