Walker Graphics is a partner of Walker Construction who are celebrating 6 decades in the construction industry. The Graphics Shop provides design, build, and delivery of all signage needs including exhibition stands, TM safety signage, shop front signage, commercial and office signage, and vehicle graphics.
About the role:
We are seeking a Graphics Manager to run our graphics and sign shop based in Lympne, Kent. This role offers the perfect opportunity to blend leadership with hands-on design and production. You'll lead a small creative team, shaping the visual identity of a growing business while delivering high-quality content ensuring creative outputs are on-brand, commercially driven, and engaging.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of tenders and quotations.
2. Preparation of designs.
3. Site visits for planning works.
4. Scheduling of work - liaising with the client/contractors.
5. Preparation of accounts for invoicing.
6. Control of office systems and files.
7. Purchasing of all materials.
8. Manage and mentor the team, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
9. Maintain high standards of quality across all projects.
10. Carry out other reasonable duties within your capabilities as requested and instructed to meet the needs of the business.
Required Skills:
1. Experience with Illustrator and CorelDRAW would be advantageous.
2. Strong design, layout, and typography expertise preferred.
3. Commercial mindset.
4. Proven ability to lead projects and deliver work within brand guidelines.
5. Confident, self-managing, able to work on own initiative.
6. Good attitude, work ethic, and team player.
7. Good communication skills.
8. Strong attention to detail.
9. Ability to lead by example.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
