What you'll do
We're recruiting for a Commercial Finance Analyst to our Mobile Networks team at Vodafone. The team manages a budget of around £1bn across Opex and Capital investments, supported by a small Finance Decision Support (FDS) team.
As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will work closely with the Senior Commercial Finance Manager to provide business partnering support to key Network ‘verticals’, supporting the Opex and Capex planning, forecasting and month-end processes, and financial reporting.
Wider responsibilities will also include:
1. Work closely with a wide range of Network stakeholders to help them co-ordinate and land their financial numbers and carefully articulate the plan and variances to plan along the way. You will provide value add analysis, reporting and tracking to support effective financial management and decision making.
2. Drive the consolidated financial planning activities for the area, challenge the business on their assumptions and their articulation of the network dynamics to ensure a clear financial plan in the short + long term.
3. Work closely with the governance teams to ensure clear governance frameworks are managed for Capex funds, Opex budgets, headcount, accounting treatment reviews, and business case management.
Who you are
4. Demonstrable financial planning and analysis experience.
5. Ideally qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACMA, ACCA, or equivalent), with an understanding of commercial analysis.
6. High attention to detail & strong presentation skills.
7. Confident communicating with Senior Stakeholders
8. Adept in the use of Microsoft Office Applications, including advanced Excel
9. Commercial finance experience gained in a technology, project focused or capital-intensive industry –, telecoms, IT or engineering, would also be desirable.
