The School And The Role
We are currently completing an exciting recruitment campaign on behalf of two of our partner school settings based in Aylesbury.
These schools have a number of openings for excellent Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to join their vibrant school on a permanent, contracted basis. This employer is a specialist setting offering a high quality of education to young people with a wide range of SEND, all of whom hold an EHCP. The offer excellent facilities and a bespoke career paths and opportunity for their staff team.
The roles involve supporting young people and children with a range of SEND, including PMLD, SLD, ASC, Complex needs with responsibility for meeting learners' educational, pastoral, personal care and medical needs.
We are seeking positive, caring staff members to join class teams; promoting inclusion, the development of young peoples' independence and self esteem.
Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: recent experience working with children, young people of vulnerable adults, ideally gained within a special school, care, residential or community setting.
To be considered for these Special Needs Teaching Assistant roles, you will:
Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 2 years.
Have experience with, or be prepared to meet a range of student needs, including personal care, with dignity and diligence.
Have the sensitivity, patience and persona to work with young people who may demonstrate behaviours that challenge whilst supporting some of the most vulnerable in our society.
Be determined to make a difference to the lives of the children attending these schools
Hold, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service
