About the role: We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Welding Engineer within our Asset Management sector to join our mission of delivering certified Asset Management services, consultancy, and integrated projects, across the global low carbon energy and infrastructure markets. You will be required to assist in the provision of material, welding, heat treatment and NDT advice and procedures to our operational sites in the UK and overseas; to assist with the review of internal and external welding related documentation; maintain strong client working relationships and develop working relationships with site personnel. Working within the energy, petrochemical and pharmaceutical sectors you will also support Welding and Procedural Development along with internal training when required. What you will need? Our ideal Assistant Welding Engineer will be Degree or Diploma qualified in Metallurgy Engineering fields, preferably at, or working towards, EWE / CEng status. You should also understand high pressure/high temperature process plant and the challenges these environments place upon materials and fabrication, hence problem-solving skills will also be required. The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative are both equally important. Reporting to the Welding Engineering Department Head, you will also have strong technical knowledge of joining technologies.
