Would you like to play a crucial part in providing quality customer service and public facilities within Transport for Greater Manchester’s (TfGM’s) bus stations on behalf of the Bee Network.
Your Role
Our Facilities Operational Assistants are the familiar face our customers see on their daily travels; every day is different when meeting people from all areas of Greater Manchester! In this role a critical part is maintaining the cleanliness of TfGM bus stations by ensuring the facilities are always kept clean and sanitized and delivering excellent customer service to ensure every journey matters. Working as part of a team, our Facilities Assistants support the Station Supervisor and other colleagues to enable the smooth and safe operation of our operational sites.

Who are we?
When our customers travel around the Bee Network, it is our friendly faces who they see as we provide frontline services for the Bee Network on behalf of TfGM, so we make sure we are visible for everyone that needs us. The Facilities Operations team are responsible for operational sites all over Greater Manchester, including Interchanges, Bus Stations, Satellite Stations and Horwich Parkway. We are one of the largest departments in TfGM with over 160 colleagues within our team, spread across our sites within the whole of Greater Manchester.

You’ll have experience of working with people and providing a great customer service. You’ll be able to communicate effectively and have a positive approach to helping people on their journeys, keeping our public facilities clean, safe and tidy. Delivering amazing customer service and helping passengers get from A to B and being the face of Bee Network.
This role involves shift work so you’ll need to be flexible as our operational hours are generally Monday to Sunday’s including Bank Holidays working on a shift basis 5 days a week, 37 hours per week. Monday to Saturday shifts are 7am 3pm or 3pm 11pm, Sundays are 10am 5pm and Bank Holidays are 10am 6pm.
What we can offer you
We offer a competitive salary, starting from £26,744, plus a shift allowance of 15%, this means that as you’ll work on a rostered basis, we’ll add an extra 15% onto your total pay for the month (not just for certain shifts).

We will also be populating a talent bank for future opportunities across our hubs throughout Greater Manchester for full time and part time positions that may become available over the next 6 months. These could also be Fixed Term Contract or Permanent positions.
