Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Registered Manager in ensuring high-quality care and safeguarding for children in a dual-registration home, maximising the life chances of Looked After Children.
* Assist the Registered Manager in the daily management of two dual-registered homes, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and security and implementing recommendations from Ofsted Inspections and Regulation 44 visits, reporting to the Group Operations Director when required.
* Contribute to the Care Planning process for children in our care by:
* Attending and preparing for children’s conferences, reviews, planning meetings, and core group sessions.
* Ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of children’s records.
* Completing delegated tasks from the Care Planning process to a high standard.
* Maintain all records according to company policies, regulations, and statutory requirements.
* Uphold strict confidentiality regarding all duties and information encountered.
* Participate in supervision sessions and appraisal processes.
* Work with the management team to prepare and implement a rota system that ensures the safety, security, and care of the children in your care.
* Perform additional duties as required by the service needs or as directed by the Registered Manager or Group Operations Director.
What We're Looking For:
* Must hold a Level 3 NVQ in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent.
* A qualification such as CQSW/DipSW/NVQ 4 in Care or Management, Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People), or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is desirable but not essential.
* Must have at least one year of management experience and two years in a children’s residential setting or similar residential services.
* Demonstrable knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Must possess a full UK driving licence.
* An enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment.
