This role suits an established Commercial Manager or an experienced Senior/Managing QS ready to step up. Key Responsibilities Manage and mentor the commercial team, supervising Quantity Surveyors and delegating tasks effectively. Provide commercial support to project teams, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. Oversee cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting, including accurate cash flow and cost-to-complete updates. Ensure robust, accurate, and timely cost and value reporting in line with business requirements. Interpret and advise on contract terms, obligations, and risks, protecting the company’s commercial interests. Manage subcontractor letting, negotiation, and financial administration. Ensure effective collaboration between the commercial and operational site teams. Support the Contract Manager in the smooth administration of contracts from start-up through to final account. Produce and maintain all essential project documentation and reports to agreed deadlines. Attend site meetings, contributing to the resolution of commercial, contractual, and construction issues. Identify and implement improvements in commercial processes and procedures. Requirements Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior/Managing QS in utilities, EV charging, or construction. Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, cost control, and financial management. Experience managing NEC, JCT, or similar contracts. Ability to interpret and advise on complex contract terms and conditions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
