Behaviour Support Assistant

A lovely school in Oxford is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join them in the new academic year. They are seeking someone to support their students in the everyday running of the classroom and help the school day run smoothly.
Your Role:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the classroom as a whole while also being a right hand for the students. The students in this setting have had complicated home lives and struggle with mental health needs as a result. This often manifests in behavioral needs, as these students navigate their academics while learning to manage their mental health.
Responsibilities:
1. Support students in coping with their emotions and regulating their behavior.
2. Implement interventions set by the class teacher.
3. Follow restorative practices to address challenging behavior.
