Dynamic, respected and growing high voltage (HV) engineering specialists, involved in projects from 11kV - 400kV, require HV Design Engineers with experience designing HV infrastructure (132kV - 400kV), encompassing primary and secondary (control and protection) systems, for a variety of interesting schemes. These projects include battery storage, substations and renewables. Duties: Carry out feasibility studies and conceptual designs for HV engineering schemes - substations, primary / control and protection Follow this with the preparation of detailed designs, calculations and specifications, ensuring adherence with grid codes, standards and legislation Conduct power systems analysis Help mentor and guide graduate and junior engineers Make sure all project documentation is accurately completed Maintain close relationships with end clients and project stakeholders Requirements: Experience in the design of HV substation projects (132kV - 400kV), covering areas such as primary and control and protection Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline Knowledge of grid codes and standards within the transmission and distribution (T&D) industry Experience in power systems analysis and associated software, such as DigSilent or ETAP This is an excellent opportunity for an HV Substation Design Engineer / Primary Design Engineer / Control & Protection Design Engineer to join an organisation working on a number of prestigious and technically interesting projects.
