Waste Connections of Canada, the leader in non-hazardous solid waste management in North America is looking for an Accounts Receivable Representative to join our team in WINDSOR ON. We are looking for a safety inclined, energetic, autonomous and proactive team player capable of making a difference in his/her team and community
Main Accountabilities
1. Contacts customers with delinquent accounts by phone, fax, email and regular mail to collect customer balances.
2. Reconcile customer account discrepancies, over/under payments, credits, etc.
3. Record adjustment entries on customer accounts
4. Contact credit references, and/or obtain and review customer credit history through Equifax
5. Prepare monthly AR reports for collections meeting
6. Process monthly billing for assigned district(s)
7. Liaise with sales representatives to review status of customer accounts, i.e. outstanding adjustments, suspensions, legal/liquidated damages, closed accounts, etc.
8. Performs other accounting duties as requested by the Controller
If you have the following skills and experience, we would like to hear from you:
9. Post-Secondary School degree/diploma is preferred with courses in accounting
10. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people
11. Two years experience in the collection of both commercial and consumer accounts is preferred
12. Great Interpersonal and Time Management skills
