Older persons Medicine is an integral part of back of house services within the Urgent and Emergency Care Centre. The speciality is focused on patients being in the right place first time. The team works efficiently and effectively at pace to support early intervention, diagnosis and admission avoidance with the multi-disciplinary team focus.

The strategic goals of the service are focused on the patient journey and experience which is pivotal in minimising risk and reducing harm. The Acute team are high performing and deliver organisational requirements of a well-led service.

Leadership and Improvement Training
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff. * Level 1 in Maths/English or equivalent demonstrable experience
