Do you have a passion for delivering high quality ENT services in a team of experienced and innovative professionals? This is an excellent opportunity to join our team and become part of the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. You will have the chance to develop your skills and confidence under the guidance of an inspiring team located across all Trust's hospital sites. Located in the western part of Cambridgeshire, the historic towns of Peterborough and Huntingdon have been transformed by town development schemes bringing improvements in housing, education, and employment opportunities. All hospital sites are accessible by road or train within easy commute distance from London, Cambridge, Leicester or Birmingham. As a Specialty Doctor, you will ensure the delivery of a high-quality ENT care to inpatients at Hinchingbrooke and Peterborough City Hospitals while leading the junior ENT staff in ward rounds. In addition, you will undertake regular elective outpatient clinics across the Trust's footprint. At North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, we have dedicated state-of-the-art outpatients' clinics, theatres and a shared Head and Neck/Urology Ward. We are committed to ensure flexibility in working patterns for a better work-life balance to all our staff. The sessional commitments are of 10 PAs per week, 9 PAs of Direct Clinical Care (includes clinical activity, clinically related activity, predictable and unpredictable emergency work) and on average 1PA per week of Supporting Professional Activities. You will be part of the designated outpatient and operating sessions under the supervision of the Unit's 10 Consultants to meet their individual educational needs and service provision. A full shift three-tier on-call rota is in operation on a pattern of 1 in 8 with Peterborough City Hospital as the hot-site. You will travel to Hinchingbrooke Hospital while on-call if required in exceptional circumstances. It is therefore, mandatory that you will hold a driving licence/car and are able to drive. You will actively participate in regular audit and post-graduate educational meetings. In addition, you will attend the monthly departmental teaching sessions. North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust provides acute care to our local communities via two District General Hospitals in Peterborough and Huntingdon, and a community hospital in Stamford. We are promoting flexible working and a health work/home life balance. Agile working options are automatically considered for all roles within the Trust. We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds. We particularly encourage applications from disabled, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) and candidates from our local communities.
