About the role:
We are expanding our Sales team and looking for a Senior Client Development Director. As an integral part of our sales team, you will be responsible for both new business and growth from existing accounts for The Collective. Reporting into the Vice President of Sales Solutions UK, you will form part of the Leadership Team within The Collective and have line management responsibilities. Your primary focus will be the development, ownership, and delivery of the sales and existing client growth strategy.
You will have expertise in new business sales with a strong background in experiential events.
As a Senior Client Development Director, you will:
* Ownership of the strategic vision for new business sales and growth from a portfolio of existing accounts within The Collective.
* Leadership and day-to-day management of team members, including mentoring and development.
* Prepare and present a quarterly strategy update.
* Take ownership of new proposals, tenders, and RFPs, including delivery of presentations and pitches, and creation of case studies that showcase our services.
* Keep in touch with everything that is new, exciting, and relevant in the event industry.
* Maintain a commercial perspective on proposals to ensure clients receive best value solutions.
* Implement a new business strategy that includes target accounts, engagement plans, client activity, industry events, and awards.
* Drive a sales culture that ensures clear growth plans are achieved across all direct reports.
* Proven delivery on securing new business for experiential events.
* Experience of working alongside marketing teams to create proactive client engagement campaigns and social media content.
* Actively manage the sales process: lead generation, credentials pitch, solution pitch, negotiation, close, and contracting.
