We’re looking for someone to join the busy Communications Team to support our delivery of the live broadcasting/webcasting of Council and Partner meetings via the web.
You’ll need to set up and break down the cameras and associated kit and operate the webcasting software during meetings.
You will also train and upskill your colleagues in the wider Communications Team and Democratic Services, so they too can support you.
You’ll be asked to support our digital communications activities, ensuring web pages are regularly updated and follow our corporate style.
As we’re always striving for improvement, we’ll want to hear your suggestions on best practices from a content management perspective.
You’ll need to be flexible, as some meetings take place in the evenings, and be able to travel across the borough to various venues.
The ideal candidate:
1. Will have experience of using content management systems to update websites and of broadcasting (whether that’s webcasting or “Lives” on social media).
2. Will be a team player, motivated, and enthusiastic.
3. Will have a positive outlook.
4. Will be able to work flexible hours to attend essential Council meetings.
In return, you will be playing your part to make a difference to our colleague experience at a high-performing Council. You will also receive 26 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata), rising to 31 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata) after 5 years of service, and have access to a range of benefits in terms of reward, wellbeing, and development.
