Being responsible for the cost and on time delivery of materials from an ecosystem of providers into development projects. This person would need to be highly flexible and organised, handling multiple requirements in a short space of time. The responsibilities of your role will include the following: - Transact the procurement requirements of multiple projects, establishing critical priorities and expediting related deliveries in a dynamic business environment - Manage and own the works cost model of new/development products - Identify projected quantity/volume/price breaks for new/development products - Carry out competitive tendering/request for quote from multiple sources and negotiate cost proposals to ensure pricing is competitive and aligns with requirements - Effective Risk Management and mitigation sourcing to ensure project delivery remains on track, to budget - Manage resolution of problems related to misunderstanding or misinterpretation of component specifications between supplier and project - Work with Supply Chain/Quality teams on prequalification and down selection of potential new suppliers ensuring compliance and support to technology strategy, roadmaps and research activities. - Produce high level status reports and conduct status updates in project meetings - Actively engage at Project Gate Reviews with detailed presentations on cost, issues or supply chain requirements/needs - Track cost savings - Contribute to strategy for make/buy decisions What you'll bring The role of Supply Chain Project Cost Controller requires the following experience and skills: - Previous experience in a similar role - Hold a CIPS qualification - Ability to handle multiple projects, high volume activity and establish priorities in a dynamic business environment - Project planning, scoping and executing to support delivery of new/development product - Good with Analytics - strong Excel knowledge essential - Specialist experience and knowledge of total works cost price - Experienced in risk identification, management, monitoring, and mitigation techniques - Must be able to assess supplier capability, capacity and carry out due diligence for current and future requirement suitability - Understand Project technical requirements in order to attract the right suppliers - Confident in delivering presentations - An understanding of Continuous Improvement methodology - An innovative thinker looking for ways to ensure an agile, low risk, high quality and value-for-money product by tracking and improving costs/lead times Important to know Due to the nature of our work many our roles require a UK nationality and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
