Purpose of the role:
The Hygiene Operative will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all site areas, including welfare facilities, meeting rooms, and offices. This role is critical in supporting the company's transition to healthcare-aligned hygiene requirements and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Office Areas
Daily:
* Dust and wipe down all desks, chairs, and office furniture.
* Empty waste bins and replace liners.
* Vacuum or sweep floors, focusing on corners and under desks.
* Sanitize high-touch areas like doorknobs, light switches, keyboards, and phones.
* Clean and sanitize communal office equipment (e.g., printers, copiers).
Weekly:
* Deep clean all windows (interior surfaces) and glass partitions.
* Wipe down and sanitize walls, skirting boards, and light fixtures.
* Shampoo or steam-clean high-traffic carpet areas.
Monthly:
* Polish wooden or metallic furniture for maintenance.
* Conduct a thorough audit of cleanliness, reporting any required repairs or replacements.
Toilets
Daily:
* Clean and disinfect all toilet bowls, urinals, sinks, and taps.
* Wipe down and sanitize mirrors and other reflective surfaces.
* Restock toilet paper, soap, and paper towels as needed.
* Mop floors with disinfectant.
* Empty bins and sanitary disposal units.
Weekly:
* Deep clean tiles and grout to prevent buildup.
