Our client, a leading European provider of specialist mental health treatment, is seeking a Ward Manager to join their multidisciplinary team in Altrincham. The hospital has an outstanding reputation for providing high:quality care across residential, day care, and outpatient services.
We are looking for a forward:thinking and experienced Ward Manager to lead by example. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with a flexible, team:oriented approach to ward management. You should also have a proven track record in nurse leadership and at least 3 years experience in a senior nursing role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Team Management : Lead the nursing team, efficiently manage shifts, and ensure optimal patient care.
* Patient:Centered Care : Build therapeutic relationships with patients to ensure individual needs are met.
* Compliance and Ethical Practice : Adhere to codes of conduct, standards, and legislation. Promote ethical practice at all times.
* Care Planning and Assessment : Contribute to patient assessments, collaborate on care plans, and monitor progress.
* Education and Mentorship : Mentor student nurses and staff, fostering their professional development.
* Professional Development : Promote continuous professional growth within the team and ensure access to the latest knowledge and skills.
To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need:
* RMN or RNLD Qualification : A valid RMN or RNLD qualification is required.
* Post:Registration Experience : Minimum of 3 years post:registration experience in a senior nursing role.
* Supervisory Experience : Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity within a healthcare setting.
* Mentoring Certificate : A recognised mentoring certificate is preferred.
* Teaching and Assessment Skills : Ability to teach and assess junior staff effectively.
* Organisational Skills : Strong coordination and task prioritisation abilities, with a focus on Health and Safety.
* Drive for Learning : A passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest practices.
* Team:Oriented Attitude : A positive, flexible approach and the ability to work well as part of a team.
