A position has arisen for a Sales Manager to join our well-established and high-performing team to help us realise our next stage of growth. You will be responsible for selling a range of high value capital equipment for use within the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) industry. This is a direct sales role with no direct reports.
Mycronic enjoys an excellent reputation with our customers who are typically from either the Electronic Manufacturing (CEM) industry or the OEM product industry. Our OEM customers operate in a variety of industries such as aviation, medical, automotive and defence.

Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a UK & Ireland Sales Manager at Mycronic in Poole. The Sales Manager will be responsible for day-to-day sales activities, driving revenue growth, building relationships with clients, and developing sales strategies to meet targets.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Account planning to achieve sales activity objectives.
2. Developing a pipeline with the aim of over-achieving on revenue targets.
3. Reaching out to customers and prospects to generate interest in Mycronic’s products.
4. Nurturing of the sales cycle from initial lead, through to demonstrations and preparing quotations, through to account management following the sale.
5. Documenting of sales conversations and the general upkeep of CRM records.
6. Keeping abreast of the latest technological advancements in the industry and the product line.
Qualifications and Skills: To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
1. Educated to degree level (STEM subject) or an equivalent level via work experience within industry.
2. Ideally 10 years sales experience including some time selling capital equipment or industrial products.
3. Be a sales expert in the use of a consultative sales methodology such as SPIN, Challenger Sale, Mercuri etc.
4. Ability to build rapport and long-term relationships.
5. Hunger for new business. Tenacious and persistent. Eager to get results.
6. A team player who can win the respect of their colleagues. Positive, can-do attitude.
7. Highly self-motivated, results-focused and with a desire to succeed.
8. Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
9. Credibility and authenticity to engage at all stakeholder levels, from machine operator to C-suite.
10. Technically minded with a demonstrable interest in engineering and the technical world.
11. A high level of IT literacy.
12. Flexibility to travel, mainly within the UK but occasionally internationally (short periods) for training & sales meetings
Specific Requirements:
- Candidates must be able to deal with confidential information, internally and externally.
- Must be in the possession of a driving license (ideally clean, max 3 points).
- Proximity to UK office (Poole, Dorset) not essential as the majority of time will be spent visiting customers or working from a home office. Candidates based in the South or South Midlands will be preferred as will those close to major motorway networks.
