As part of the Waste and Resource Recovery team you will work with a team of dedicated, innovative and award winning professionals who provide waste and recycling services, waste planning and promote waste avoidance and resource recovery within our City. About the role This position will provide leadership and project management services to the Waste and Resource Recovery Department. This position will develop and influence waste policy, resource recovery strategy and services provided to the community. Essential criteria A tertiary qualification, in Environmental Management, Science, Engineering or related discipline Demonstrated experience in directly managing procurement processes related to contract services and consultancy contracts Demonstrated experience in dealing with high-level technical, policy, strategy and management issues Demonstrated ability to develop and manage sound management practices and business systems/ applications within areas of responsibility Extensive experience in the preparation of technical briefs, contract specifications and WHS documentation A current Class C Drivers Licence Commencing salary: $125,617.00 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation.
