Your new role
Our client is looking for a methodical, results-driven Junior Test Analyst to identify and apply test procedures to ensure product quality. As a test analyst, you will be required to assess the functionality and feasibility of our market-leading software to ensure that any defects are eradicated, ensuring our customers of a first-class experience when using our products.
To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for detecting and solving problems and an eagle-eye for detail along with the ability to see the overall picture. An excellent junior test analyst has knowledge of software development, superb analytical skills, and an above-average ability to foresee technical problems.
1. Identifying products to be assessed in the software review process.
2. Defining the appropriate test to be carried out including the test data to be used.
3. Managing the test data by documenting the results of each test cycle to identify defects.
4. Liaising with the software development team.
5. Running diagnostic and system testing and presenting the information.
6. Improving knowledge of business applications and user needs and expectations.
7. Understanding and implementing industry standards and protocols.
Key Requirements
1. Some experience in a quality assurance role.
2. A proven record of experience working with computer software.
3. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
4. Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills.
5. Experience in test techniques and programming.
6. Strong planning and organisational skills and attention to detail.
7. Project management skills and the ability to work well in a team.
8. Efficient planning skills and an ability to adhere to deadlines.
