Care Manager / Deputy Care Manager .
Do you have experience managing a residential children’s care home?
Do you want to advance your career in a residential children’s care home?
Are you Minimum Level 3 or 5 qualified and have the skills to lead and inspire?
Do you live in Manchester or its environs?
Responsibilities of care manager / Deputy care manager
* Care Manager / Deputy Care Manager will be Ofsted registered or willing to register with Ofsted
* Care Manager / Deputy Care Manager will maintain and promote the care service delivered to high standards expected by Ofsted.
* Care Manager / Deputy Care Manager will contribute to the young person's care plans and risk assessments, reviews and implementation.
* Care Manager / Deputy Care Manager will form effective relationships with the children and their families (where required) and external agencies.
* Ensure the home is kept clean and tidy, and encourage the young people to participate as appropriate.
* Ensure records are up to date and maintained as required with supervision and advice from superiors.
* Contribute to each young person's educational and social development and assist them with their Education Programs.
* Care Manager / Deputy Care Manager will meet the emotional and physical needs of the young residents and maximise opportunities for their development.
* Provide support to the manager of the home whilst on shift and performing senior duties as directed.
Care Manager / Deputy Care Manager requirements:
* Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent.
* Level 5 Diploma in Childcare qualification or in training will be considered.
* Experience in a children's home setting.
* Ability to contribute to the Ofsted registration process.
* Full, UK driving licence (an advantage).
* Ofsted registered (preferred but not compulsory).
