About our client:
They are a leading engineering and infrastructure company, specialising in complex projects across the energy sector. A rare opportunity has come about as they now seek an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support major upgrade projects focusing on the delivery and cost management of automation systems.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of significant national upgrades. You’ll oversee cost analysis, contract negotiation, and risk management on complex automation projects, ensuring budget adherence and value maximisation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with expertise in the automation, Civils, or rail sectors, or proven experience working on large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee, support and offer technical advice to your team of quantity surveyors.
2. Conduct cost planning, estimating, and budget management throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Manage contracts and financials related to automation systems, including instrumentation, control systems, and related infrastructure.
4. Perform risk assessments, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage variations.
5. Engage with stakeholders across engineering, procurement, and construction to ensure alignment on budget and project objectives.
6. Support project reporting by providing accurate forecasts, cash flow analysis, and financial summaries.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards in all financial practices.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
1. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field; RICS or equivalent certification preferred.
2. Minimum of 3-7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the energy, Rail, Civils or automation sectors.
3. Demonstrable experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in oil & gas, power generation, or utilities.

Package:
1. Salary : 58-62K
2. Monday to Thursday, Friday Early finish
