Priority Candidates will be considered in the first instance Children's Short Breaks Salary: Grade 7, 15,793 - 17,617 per annum. 18.5 hours per week Your role: We are looking to recruit a motivated part time residential Senior Worker to join our well-established team. The successful applicant will be required to work on a rota basis which includes a mixture of mornings, afternoons, every other weekend over 52 weeks of the year. The young people who stay at Ladies Lane have a package of planned short breaks which include over nights stays during the week and at weekends, these children are diagnosed as having complex needs and learning difficulties. As a residential senior worker, you will be responsible for writing care plans, risk assessments, behaviour support plans and health care plans as well as supporting the children and young people in all aspects of care helping them to gain new experiences and skills. About you: We are looking for an enthusiastic, fun individual who understands the needs of children and young people who have complex needs and learning difficulties. You must have the ability to work as part of a team but use your own initiative when necessary. To be flexible to the needs of the service and demonstrate an ability to write and follow care plans, risk assessments, behaviour support plans and health care plans. To be understanding and empathetic to children and young people who have complex needs and offer a wide range of activities and experiences to enrich their lives. Ladies Lane is a 4 bedded purpose-built registered children s home based in Wigan. We offer overnight stays which enables our children and young people to have time away from their families, make friendships with their peers and enjoy new experiences.
