Full Job Description
V&C Associates is proud to be partnering with one of the largest Residential Estate Functions within South Yorkshire who are recruiting for a Facilities Manager, reporting to the General Manager. This position is responsible for the delivery of soft and hard Facilities Management across a cluster of properties providing a well maintained, safe, secure, clean, compliant and efficient environment. The position will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the national FM strategy and standards ensuring they are delivered consistently locally. The Facilities Manager will have a team accountable for health, safety and security for their designated buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive the recruitment and retention of the Facilities team and their ongoing engagement through exceptional people and performance management.
2. Manage team performance, actively participate in performance management conversations and personal development plans.
3. Ensure all properties are manned with the necessary facilities personnel according to agreed principles and property needs.
4. Ensure the team takes appropriate action, resolving issues either directly or indirectly, and escalating when necessary.
5. Manage the company's policies, procedures and specified ways of working at all times.
6. Ensure the delivery of the Estate planned maintenance programme in line with statutory requirements and quality assurance programme.
7. Responsible for the security provision at all properties.
8. Manage the property estate’s P&L, highlighting areas for future capital spend and ensuring compliance with H&S and fire assessments.
9. Ensure all property projects are delivered on time and within budget (supported by project team).
10. Accountable for the internal cleanliness (common areas and behind flat doors) and kerbside external appeal of the properties.
11. Provide an out of hours on-call emergency service, where applicable.
12. Fleet Management responsibility.
13. Understand the sustainability strategy and action opportunities to help achieve sustainability targets.

4. Exposure to managing fire safety equipment within a property environment.
5. Exposure to projects from onset through to completion.
6. Strong knowledge of building Heating and AV ventilation.
