It will be based at Bankhead Central, Glenrothes, but working at various locations across Fife. The role of the post is to carry out as part of a team, a wide range of road marking activities. To assist in the delivery of an emergency service including winter maintenance throughout the year. Key tasks include setting out safe signage, cleaning of road surfaces, removal of existing markings, setting out for new road markings and applying hot thermoplastic material and proprietary cold applied materials. There will be on occasion when required to work as part of a construction squad in adverse weather conditions. The hours of work are split into Summer and Winter hours week but average 36hrs throughout the year. A link to the role profile is included at the bottom of the advert. The Person You should have substantial experience of working in the road marking industry and the ability to work in all weather conditions. You should possess good communication skills and be able to transfer these in different circumstances e.g., dealing with members of the public. You should be a good team player as well as being able to work with the minimum of supervision. You should be willing to participate in out of hours emergency standby rotas. Overtime rates and/or fixed payments are paid where appropriate.
