Senior Buyer
Location: Rochester, Kent

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000
ARM are delighted to be supporting one of our clients with the recruitment of a Senior Buyer to join them on a permanent basis.
The Senior Buyer is responsible for the management of a supplier or group of suppliers for a particular business area or product/commodity group.
Responsibilities:
1. Receiving requisitions and demands, negotiating with suppliers.
2. Negotiating Terms and Conditions, Price Agreements, and other contractual documents with suppliers.
3. Maintaining strong, effective relationships with suppliers.
4. Understanding and communicating key performance indicators for the suppliers they are responsible for.
5. Maintaining Supplier open order books and ensuring that correct and current data is maintained in the Oracle ERP system.
6. Processing supplier returns, ensuring these are actioned in a timely manner.
7. Understanding and supporting the implementation of corporate Procurement processes.
8. Training/coaching junior members of staff on Procurement processes and procedures.
9. Acting as an independent interface between suppliers and the business.
Requirements:
1. Proven purchasing experience.
2. Previous experience in leading negotiations and supplier relationship management.
3. Negotiating and influencing skills.
4. Commercial awareness.
5. Manufacturing background would be preferred.
6. Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle.
7. MCIPS qualified or equivalent experience.
