Senior Buyer
Location: Rochester, Kent

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000
ARM are delighted to be supporting one of our clients with the recruitment of a Senior Buyer to join them on a permanent basis.
The Senior Buyer is responsible for the management of a supplier or group of suppliers for a particular business area or product/commodity group.
Responsibilities:
* Receiving requisitions and demands, negotiate with suppliers.
* Negotiating Terms and Conditions, Price Agreements and other contractual documents with suppliers.
* Maintaining strong, effective relationships with suppliers.
* Understanding and communicating key performance indicators for the suppliers they are responsible for.
* Maintaining Supplier open order books and ensure that correct and current data is maintained in the Oracle ERP system.
* Processing supplier returns, ensuring these are actioned in a timely manner.
* Understanding and supporting the implementation of corporate Procurement processes.
* Training/coaching junior members of staff on Procurement processes and procedures.
* Acting as an independent interface between suppliers and the business.
Requirements:
* Proven purchasing experience.
* Previous experience in leading negotiations and supplier relationship management.
* Negotiating and influencing skills.
* Commercial awareness.
* Manufacturing background would be preferred.
* Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle.
* MCIPS qualified or equivalent experience.
